Warranty

Every 3D printer, scanner and laser product we sell carries a 12-month manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, in addition to your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act.

Our warranty is carry-in / send-in. Repairs and assessments are handled at our premises in Pretoria. If you need warranty service, please contact us first for instructions before sending or bringing anything in.

Start with us

If something goes wrong, log it with us first through our support portal or at desk@zk-print.co.za. We run a dedicated ticketing system and track every technical issue from start to finish. A large share of problems are resolved at this stage — through setup guidance, firmware or settings fixes, or straightforward troubleshooting — without anything needing to be returned or replaced.

Product registration

Where the manufacturer requires product registration to activate warranty cover, please complete it. For QIDI printers, register your machine on the QIDI South Africa page. We can guide you through this if needed.

How warranty parts are handled

Where an issue is confirmed as a genuine warranty fault that needs replacement parts, the manufacturer (QIDI and others) fulfils this through their own warranty process, which requires direct email contact with you as the end user. This is the manufacturer's standard global procedure and it is how parts are dispatched fastest. We do not disappear at this point: we help you open the case, supply the diagnostic information we have already gathered through your ticket, and stay involved to keep things moving if they stall.

What is covered

The 12-month warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

What is not covered

Consumables and wear items (such as nozzles, build plates and belts), normal wear, and damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modification or repair, or the use of incompatible third-party materials.

Assessment and shipping costs

For a confirmed warranty fault, returns for assessment are arranged at our cost. If a product is sent or brought in and found not to be defective (for example, the issue is user setup, settings, or filament drying), the customer is responsible for any return and re-delivery shipping.

Your statutory rights

These warranties are in addition to, and do not limit, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, including the implied warranty of quality that applies for six months from the date of delivery.

How to make a warranty claim

Please include your order number, the product serial number, and a description of the issue with photos or video.
