Opened filament cannot be returned for change of mind. Filament is hygroscopic — drying before use is recommended. Suspected manufacturing defects are assessed via our support ticket and replaced if confirmed. See our Returns, Refunds & Warranty policy and Warranty page for full details.
250 g sample – random colour
Try IPCON PPA-GF FR with a 250 g filament sample. Sample colours are supplied at random. A specific colour cannot be selected or guaranteed, and the colour received may differ from the product images. The sample contains 250 g net filament; select the required size before ordering.
Flame-retardant, glass-fibre reinforced PPA
An engineering PPA formulation marketed by IPCON for flame-retardant applications, combining reinforcement with a specialised material formulation. Suitable application and compliance validation remain the responsibility of the part designer.
Material: IPCON PPA GF FR.
Filament diameter: 1.75 mm.
Net filament: 750 g standard spool or 250 g sample, according to the selected variant.
Colour: select from the available manufacturer variants for standard spools. The 250 g sample is supplied in a random colour.
Hardware to check before printing
Use an abrasive-resistant nozzle, such as hardened steel or tungsten carbide, and confirm the recommended nozzle size in the current manufacturer profile. Filled filaments can wear softer nozzles. Check your printer's temperature limits and filament-feed compatibility before use.
Manufacturer printing guidance
Drying Settings Before Printing: 100 – 130 °C, 10 – 14 h (Blast drying oven).
Nozzle Temperature: 280 – 310°C.
Bed Temperature: 100 – 120°C.
An enclosed printer is recommended. Check the manufacturer's current processing guide for your model and application.
Flame-retardant application note
Flame-retardant does not mean fireproof. Verify the current manufacturer test report, specimen thickness, colour and processing conditions. A material claim is not certification of your finished enclosure or assembly.
Drying, storage and results
Keep filament sealed with desiccant and follow the current material-specific drying instructions. Use equipment and spools rated for the required drying temperature. The settings above are starting guidance, not a guarantee: tune for your machine, geometry and environment. Work in a suitably ventilated area and review the safety data sheet.
Product photographs show manufacturer colour examples and sample prints; printed models are not included. Colours may vary with lighting and screen settings.
