This filament performs best at nozzle temperatures between 250 °C and 270 °C, with a heated bed temperature of 90 °C to 105 °C. A moderate print speed (around 30–50 mm/s) helps maintain layer integrity, while low or no cooling ensures superior layer bonding. Because polycarbonate readily absorbs moisture, drying the filament at 75 °C for about 12 hours before printing is recommended for optimal results.
PolyLite PC delivers outstanding mechanical properties with a tensile strength of approximately 69 MPa, a Young’s modulus of around 2,500 MPa, and a heat deflection temperature of roughly 106 °C under load. Its semi-transparent finish makes it suitable for light-diffusing parts or aesthetic functional models.
For best results, print PolyLite PC in an enclosed chamber to maintain consistent temperature and dimensional accuracy. Use a strong adhesion surface such as a glue stick, PEI sheet, or specialised adhesive to prevent warping during printing.
