Fast multi-colour and multi-material printing with four independent toolheads

The Snapmaker U1 is a CoreXY toolchanger 3D printer built around the SnapSwap™ four-toolhead system. Each material remains loaded in its own dedicated toolhead, allowing direct tool changes in approximately five seconds while reducing the purge waste associated with shared-nozzle multi-colour systems.

Key features

  • Four independent toolheads: combine multiple colours, rigid and flexible materials, or dedicated support material in one print.
  • 270 × 270 × 270 mm build volume: suitable for larger models, batch printing and multi-part projects.
  • High-speed CoreXY motion: up to 500 mm/s print speed and 20,000 mm/s² acceleration.
  • Smart calibration: automated toolhead alignment and compensation support consistent multi-tool printing.
  • Automatic filament handling: supports automatic loading and backup-filament operation.
  • Smart print monitoring: helps identify printing issues early.

Materials and enclosure

The four-toolhead architecture supports mixed-material applications such as rigid-plus-flexible parts and soluble or breakaway supports. The Snapmaker U1 Top Cover is optional and not included; Snapmaker recommends the optional cover when a more stable enclosed environment is required for engineering materials such as ABS and ASA.
