Polymaker HT-PLA-GF – 1KG

HT-PLA-GF from Polymaker is a high-temperature, glass fibre–reinforced PLA filament that combines the printability of PLA with enhanced heat resistance and mechanical strength. Developed for demanding applications, this material enables parts that maintain their form and integrity even under elevated temperatures—making it ideal for functional prototypes, brackets, tooling aids, and technical components.

Printability remains straightforward: HT-PLA-GF works with standard PLA settings, yet supports print speeds of up to 350 mm/s. The addition of glass fibre improves stiffness and dimensional stability while minimally affecting feed behaviour. Typical print parameters include a nozzle temperature around 210 °C to 230 °C, and a bed temperature of 25 °C to 60 °C. Post-print annealing (for example, 30 minutes at ~100 °C) can elevate heat deflection performance and further enhance thermal stability.

Key material properties include a density of approximately 1.337 g/cm³ and very low shrinkage (around 0.05% in X–Y and Z as printed). Untreated parts can maintain structure up to ~150 °C without sagging. After proper annealing, the material exhibits significantly improved heat deflection temperatures and mechanical rigidity. Because the filament contains glass fibre, a hardened steel or ruby nozzle is recommended to avoid excessive nozzle wear.

Polymaker HT-PLA-GF is engineered for professionals and advanced users who want PLA-level ease of printing, combined with the durability and thermal resilience often associated with engineering-grade filaments.
