QIDI Tech PETG-Tough Filament – 1kg
Durable, High-Speed PETG for Functional 3D Printing
Take your 3D printing to the next level with QIDI Tech PETG-Tough — a toughness-enhanced, high-performance PETG filament engineered for exceptional impact resistance, dimensional stability, and high-speed printing. Rigid, durable, odourless, and heat-resistant, PETG-Tough is a step above standard PETG for professionals and makers who demand reliable, production-quality prints for real-world use.
With notch impact strength more than three times that of ordinary PETG, lower extrusion pressure for smoother high-speed printing up to 400 mm/s, and very low moisture absorption, QIDI PETG-Tough delivers consistent, stress-free results on every spool. It sits in a performance sweet spot between standard PETG and engineering-grade materials — offering significantly improved toughness without the complexity of nylon or polycarbonate printing.
Key Benefits
Toughness-Enhanced for Real-World Durability PETG-Tough has been specifically modified for enhanced toughness, delivering notch impact strength more than three times that of standard PETG. This makes it ideal for functional prototypes, mechanical components, enclosures, and load-bearing parts that must withstand daily stress without cracking or deforming.
Optimised for High-Speed Printing — Up to 400 mm/s Under the same printing conditions, PETG-Tough requires lower extrusion pressure than standard PETG, resulting in smoother, more stable flow at elevated print speeds. Print at up to 400 mm/s with minimal stringing, making it an excellent match for high-speed CoreXY printers and fast production workflows.
High Heat Resistance PETG is a non-crystalline co-polyester with a glass transition temperature between PLA (~50°C) and ABS (~80–90°C), giving PETG-Tough higher heat resistance than PLA while maintaining easier printability than ABS. Ideal for parts that need to perform in moderately warm environments.
Low Moisture Absorption for Consistent Prints. Formulated to resist humidity, PETG-Tough maintains optimal print quality even in challenging environments. Low moisture absorption helps prevent common issues like bubbling, stringing, and poor layer adhesion — ensuring smooth, consistent extrusion and reliable bonding every time.
Superior Dimensional Stability Manufactured with a precise 1.75 mm diameter tolerance of ±0.02 mm, PETG-Tough ensures steady extrusion and accurate print dimensions. This precision allows for tight mechanical fits and consistent surface finish, even across multiple consecutive high-speed print runs.
Odourless Printing: Unlike ABS and some other engineering materials, PETG-Tough prints odour-free, making it comfortable for use in offices, studios, and home workshops without the need for specialised ventilation.
Versatile Compatibility: Compatible with most FDM 3D printers on the market. Pairs especially well with QIDI Tech's high-speed CoreXY systems, including the X-Max 3, but delivers excellent results on Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, Anycubic, and other popular printers.
Tangle-Free & Premium Packaging. Each 1 kg spool is carefully wound to prevent tangling, ensuring smooth extrusion throughout the entire spool. Vacuum-sealed aluminium foil packaging provides industry-leading moisture protection with a water vapour transmission rate of just 0.014%, compared to 4.76% for standard sealed packaging.

Printing & Storage Tips
-
Drying (recommended): Dry filament before use for best results, especially if the vacuum seal has been broken. Recommended drying temperature: 55–65°C for 4–6 hours
-
During printing: For long prints or humid environments, keep filament in a dry box for consistent extrusion.
-
Filament path: Pass the filament through the spool's fixed hole after use to avoid tangling
-
Storage: Return unused filament to the original vacuum aluminium foil bag and seal to maintain dryness
-
Ventilation: Print in a well-ventilated area for best results — though PETG-Tough is odourless, good airflow supports consistent print quality
