Zero Moisture Absorption — Non-Hygroscopic. Unlike nylon, PETG, and many other filaments, SBS does not absorb moisture from the air. This means no drying required before printing, no degradation during long-term storage, and none of the bubbling, stringing, or oozing caused by moisture-contaminated filament. Print with confidence straight from the spool, every time.
Chemical Smoothing Compatible For a professional, high-gloss surface finish, SBS prints can be smoothed using d-limonene — a safe, citrus-based solvent. This allows you to achieve injection-moulded-quality surfaces on display pieces, prototypes, and finished products without sanding or coating.
Low Print Temperatures — Energy Efficient & Printer-Friendly With a recommended nozzle temperature of just 195–215°C, SBS is gentle on your printer's hotend, compatible with PTFE-lined hotends, and uses less energy per print compared to higher-temperature materials like ABS, ASA, or nylon.

Printer Requirements
Standard brass nozzle — no hardened nozzle required
Heated bed at 60°C
PTFE-lined or all-metal hotend — both are compatible at these low temperatures
Open-frame or enclosed printers are both supported

Printing Tips
No drying required — SBS is non-hygroscopic, so you can print directly from the vacuum-sealed spool without pre-drying
Bed adhesion: Standard heated glass, PEI, or BuildTak surfaces work well at 60°C. A light application of glue stick can improve adhesion on smooth surfaces.
Cooling fan: Moderate cooling (40–60%) generally produces the best balance of layer adhesion and detail
Chemical smoothing: For a glossy professional finish, briefly expose prints to d-limonene vapour or brush-apply for targeted smoothing
Storage: While SBS doesn't absorb moisture, storing it in a sealed bag extends spool cleanliness and prevents dust buildup
